Yvon and I travelled to Hamburg in August, 2005, with our friends Jamie and Dany. We went to attend a dance party on a boat (and several other parties besides), and it was a very festive weekend. Well, there were some problems, but that's another story. Though we weren't there to explore the city, exactly, we nonetheless did get out and about more, and these galleries are the result.

Hamburg with Jamie and Dany (35 photos) - These photos cover Friday night through a very wet Sunday, when we hung out with Jamie and Dany. The show Central Station, some commercial streets in the central city, the Reeperbahn, some waterfront shots, as well as us having dinner.

Hamburg with Yvon on Monday (75 photos) - Yvon and I stayed an extra day, and were greeted with somewhat drier and sunnier weather on Monday, while we explored the city. These photos include various modern buildings, the Botanischer Garten, a new port development then under construction called the Hafencity, the Stadtpark, and the Berliner Tor Centre, a complex of buildings that I thought quite elegant.
